37th HKIFF honours filmmakers with nine awards in five competitions

At the Awards Gala at Hong Kong Cultural Centre last night, the 37th Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) revealed the winning films for five award categories, namely the Young Cinema Competition, the Documentary Competition, the Short Film Competition, the FIPRESCI Prize and the SIGNIS Award.

Each competition was judged by an independent jury, consisting of renowned industry figures such as ARAKI Keiko, Festival Director of Pia Film Festival (PFF) Tokyo; veteran Hong Kong director YIM Ho; and former director of International Film Festival Rotterdam and Cannes Film Festival award-winning producer, Simon FIELD.
